Thinking of Jake at Thanksgiving

The family still waits and misses Jake, hoping for his safe return.

At Thanksgiving, as another holiday approaches, we’re thinking of him, hoping he’s safe and that he makes his way home.  We all love you Jake!

Interlochen Public Radio did an interview with the family this week.  Please check out the IPR Cabinaw Family Interview – November 23, 2010

May 18 Update

Here we are– more than six weeks from the time Jacob disappeared, and the family is still left wondering where he may be.  Sandra with the help of Mom did a great thing with the interview that aired tonight on 7 & 4.  We just want to see Jacob come home safely to his family.

As the family plans a vigil in early June, please stay tuned for details.  Your support at the Hickory Hills event was so much appreciated, and your continuing support and prayers mean so much.  God bless.  Bring Jake home.

April 17 Update

Folks, Jacob Cabinaw is STILL missing, and we still need your help to find him.

Please don’t let the miscommunication between police and media damage the momentum and concern to help find Jake.

The information reported on Channel 7&4 news on Friday night is NOT accurate, and the family has received an apology from the Grand Traverse police for the miscommunication.

Jake has not yet been positively identified using his card, and as far as the family knows, Jake has not been submitted AWOL. Last word from his unit is that they were waiting to see how situation resolves.

The police and family are awaiting clearer video of a potential sighting of Jacob, due in on Monday or Tuesday.

Please continue to search, spread the word, post flyers and most importantly, pray for Jake’s safe return to his family, especially his two young sons who need him home.

April 14 UPDATE

We continue to value the offers of help, prayers and ideas coming our way and the efforts of law enforcement handling the case.  We are paying particular attention to the I-20 Sweetwater/Abilene corridor as we have evidence that Jake’s bank card was used at a convenience store and gas station in that vicinity.  At this point, the trail runs “cold” there in Sweetwater and we can only hope that the recent work of volunteers in all areas (Michigan and Texas) might be fruitful in turning up someone, somewhere, who knows something about where Jake may be.

The family greatly appreciates all the love, prayers and support coming in from around the country and beyond in support of Jake.   As we hear the very latest, we will share what is appropriate to share with you.  God bless.
